Silly subconscious

Loud knocking at the door.

Federal Agent: "May I see your permit?"
Me: "My permit?"
FA: "Yes, your permit." in an irritated tone
Me: "What permit?" in a confused tone
FA: "Your plant permit." in a more irritated tone
Me: "My plant permit?" in an even more confused tone
FA: "You are not allowed to have more than four plants without a permit. Where is your permit?" in a very irritated voice
Me: "I have never heard of such a law. It doesn't make sense. How can people grow food with only four plants." in an anxious voice
FA" "It's the law; only four plants. If you don't have a permit, the plants will be removed."

So began the dream I was having when the alarm went off. The remainder of the dream was me begging and pleading while a string of federal agents in their matching windbreakers carried away all of my plants. It was my current set of plants but the house itself was more like the place I rented in North Carolina. I was also considerably older in the dream.

Strange.

Omigods! what a nightmare!

If that became the case I think I would need to take advantage of that "right to bear arms" so I could defend my plants from the Government. (I think I have this subconscious worry since we have comfrey in the garden which is now regulated by the FDA AFAIK)

I just googled, and saw that it is banned for sale as a supplement but a lot of places sell the seeds, BUT BURPEES DOESN'T (biggest seed company I could think of). Hmmmmm...

Uhhh... maybe I shouldn't point this out, but there is a Bill in the House to 'regulate' the amount of "crops, foodstuff-related, and other non-comestible commercial plants" one can grow on a domestic property.

From what I gather, they're getting their tighty-whitys in uproar over people growing and selling stuff in an unregulated way.

Please don't tell me you are prophetic and your dreams have a way of coming true, because I see many plants in my future and having to deal with Plant Police traipsing onto the property of our future and taking everything away except for four of them just fills me with the willies.
