I am not a big fan of summer but I am ready for a few days of sunny and in the 80s. Today highs in the 50s, damp, and overcast AGAIN! Using the heater in late May is getting old.

I find myself changing behavior in response to rising prices: This morning is a good example of how rising prices are affecting me. I need to go to the post office and the hardware store. I want to go to the farmer's market tomorrow so I am forcing myself to wait on the PO and hardware store even though they are both less than a mile from my house. Walking not an option because of what I need to take to and bring home. I am only going to campus to work when I absolutely must and working the rest of the time from home. An overreaction? Probably but I have feeling that changing how I think and live will require being extreme to establish habits and then moderating from there.

I have been playing with my Wordpress blogs more -- mostly doing more with Kaleidescope Living as a place to participate in the Independence Day Challenge and Eat Local Summer.

Anyone have experience with Ecobunga (a guide to green giveaways and deals)?

These prices are definitely skyrocketing and forcing me to change some long entrenched habits. And I don't even drive! It's just that even buying food has gotten way more difficult to do. I hope somebody figures out a way to stop or at least contain this madness.
