This morning I have a pair of white crowned sparrows visiting. :) Sadly, I have not managed a photo -- yet.

Aren't they cute? I wonder if they're having some kind of breakout summer-- folks up here are reporting them as though they're unusual. I've had a small flock of them for the last week or so.

This is only my second time to see one. The first time was on campus about one year ago. They are very cute, it was the bouncing white crown that caught my eye.

Saw a mockingbird on the way home from work yesterday. Spring is finally here.

I don't see many mockingbirds around here. They are one of the birds that were more common in other places I have lived that I miss.

Spring is here in some ways but not others. I actually had to turn on the heat yesterday.

Since spring here usually means snow, we're right on schedule. 80 one day, cold the next. LOL
