That Obama is able to give campaign speeches at this moment is a huge testimony to his strength of character. I think it is very sad that is grandmother died on the eve of what I hope will be his election.

Seriously. I don't know how aware his grandmother was of her surroundings at the end, but I thought when I read about her death, "Dammit, if she could have just hung on one more day..."
