It has been quite a journey

While cleaning this weekend, I came across the November 2007 issue of Chicago magazine. It included the Field Guide to Homo Sapiens Barackus. I just turned on CNN to listen to the primary coverage and spin. In all the talk of Bill Clinton's anger, Hillary Clinton's possible concession and VP spot, and the historic nature of Obama's run as a Black Man it is easy to lose sight of just how amazing his story is in terms of moving beyond the niche that is humorously presented by the Chicago magazine.

The people who have run his campaign have done something amazing. I am glad they are working for people who are generally in my camp as opposed to the far right Evangelical wing of the Republican party.
