What a difference a year makes

Last year I spent much of Thanksgiving Day on the beach. This year we are a weather advisory for the "first accumulating snowfall" of the year. This morning is damp and windy. I need to fill the feeders; common redpolls have been spotted in the area and I am on the lookout for this addition to my life list.

I have no idea what my tomorrow will bring. My original plan was to process photos for my presentation on Tuesday but killing the power cord to my external hard drive takes care of that as the replacement one will not be here by today. I had thought of curling up with DVDs but those aren't going to make it here in time either. Now I am just going to wait and see what the day brings.

It is a good thing I will watch football, because there will be not be turkey, cranberries, or shopping in my weekend. I am downright lacking in patriotism. So if I disappear you know why.

There will be papers to grade, an exam to write, birds to watch, a theory (balance) to write about, folks at the nature center to greet, and snow to gaze upon. I am also considering making peppernuts though that would require a trip to the grocery store. I think venturing there early morning tomorrow should be reasonably safe.
