This morning I found myself thinking of people on my LJ list who remind me of one another in some way or who seem to have interesting commonalities. For example,

[livejournal.com profile] smoocherie meet [livejournal.com profile] paisleychick who just wrote a post in commemoration of the one year anniversary of heading off to travel in what she calls the Magic Bus just as you are in the final days of preparing to head off on your own journey.

[livejournal.com profile] mladypain and [livejournal.com profile] patsyterrell remind me of each other when they are talking about the homes the create for themselves and the ways they bring creativity and beauty into those worlds.

There are a few others but my fingers aren't cooperating this morning so I'll leave it with those for now.

When you combine those thoughts with the fact that I am in the mood to celebrate springtime and the end of the semester, the only possible course of action is to have a virtual party in the form of a friending frenzy. Is there someone who's journal you especially like to read and that you think someone specific or someone with a certain interest would like? Why not tell us about it? Would you like more folks with a certain interest to read? Tell us what those interests are and maybe you can point the way? Would you like more folks on your LJ flist? Then use the comments to invite us over to visit.

In short, why not use comments in this post to get to know one another because I happen to have one amazing set of people on my FList and Drama Free Thursday as brought to you by [livejournal.com profile] popfiend seems like a good time to say great things about wonderful folks we know (including that person that you see in the mirror).

As usual I'll go over board with the refreshments (the nice thing about online refreshments -- no calories and no clean up necessary ;) ) So pull up a chair and grab some coffee (free trade and organic of course), tea or perhaps even a mimosa to celebrate this fine spring morning. Homemade cinnamon rolls, muffins, fresh fruit and chocolate covered strawberries are over there by the quiche. The bar has all the making for a bloody mary if that is more to your taste this morning.

Let the mingling and friending commence.

Better World Books. This organization was featured in the tree hugger feed. The community where they are based in 90 minutes or so from where I live. I am hoping I can find a way to donate books to them.

I just saw a word that looks vaguely like the word calzone and my taste buds and some portions of my brain went nuts with desire. Food hasn't been very appealing lately except that I want Indian food in the worst way. Taj an Indian Bistro needs to hurry and open. However, calzones suddenly sound incredibly appealing. So I thought would engage in a bit of self torture and ask this question.

What are your favorite filling combinations for calzones? Anyone have a great dough recipe for the dough? I would especially like one that is not made entirely with white flour. I am not big on convenience foods but any off the shelf possibilities that you like for the dough would also be welcome as I am not sure I should take time from work to make dough.

Now that I think about it more, the red sauce in a calzone doesn't sound all that appealing but veggies and maybe meat and/or cheese in some combination baked in a bread of some types does sound very good so . . . Any other yummy stuff wrapped in bread like foods or combinations that you especially like?

Edited to add: This is odd but shortly after posting this, I see Calzones as a subject on [livejournal.com profile] ellettra's journal. Now I could understand some Mexican food popping up in multiple places given the upcoming holiday but what planetary alignment leads to thoughts of stuffed breads?

I visited the trails at Coffee Creek today while there I added a new bird to my life list, a white-crowned sparrow ). There were also new wildflowers booming but I am too wiped out this evening to work out the identifications for them. I also captured an Eastern Bluebird and a Red-tailed Hawk with the camera. As the photos show the skies were an amazing blue today.
