It is a soggy Saturday in northwest Indiana. The last couple of days have brought 3-5 inches of rain with another 3-6 forecast for tomorrow. Lots of street and road flooding, water in basements, small streams overflowing, the Calumet river at flood stage, and a growing round of power outages. The interstate is closed between the town where I live and and the highway that leads to the campus where I teach.
Here is hoping the remnants of Ike don't come this way.
